About

The Norwegian MPA

The Norwegian Music Publishers Association is a non-profit trade organization representing more than 55 music publishers working in Norway.
The organization was founded in 1936 and we represent a wide variety of music publishing companies. Print publishers work with classical and contemporary music with a special focus on print and composers/authors. while others work with popular music and focus more on sync rights and songwriter/artist. No matter their musical genre and main focus. Our members share many of the same interests, challenges and opportunities that we can help with.

You can find a list of all of our members here.

What we do

The Norwegian MPA  is involved in all areas concerning music publishing and represents and informs its members on issues such as copyright law and regulations, new media and technologies and the Norwegian music industry in general. We also develop different tools and deals on behalf of our members and arrange members meetings where central and current topics are discussed and presented throughout the year. Internationally we are present at central festivals and music business conferences and arrange trade missions to improve our own and our members’ network and promote Norwegian authors, composers, songwriters and producers.

The Norwegian MPA act on behalf of our members – over 50 music publishing companies that works in different fields of the music business. We strive to give them a shared voice/force when meeting with national and international authorities, and effective collaboration with other industry organizations.
